I had really interesting project in Florence for my Classic Photography class. We used only film cameras and we were developing and printing by ourselves. I enjoyed this class mostly and I would like to work in this area in future and by now I have these beautiful to me (hopefully not only to me) pictures. And I would say that the most important part, the most important factor making me work on this project was my teacher - Simone Pierotti. I like the way he taught us, and I think he cares about his students, and trying to help them to find themselves, what is important when you are in art.
This project is my favourite, and it called - "Teenage Intimacy". I had two models, two teenagers - kazakh and italian girls, and I just made pictures of them in their homes doing usual everyday rutine. But beauty is everywhere. You just need to see it as I see it throw my camera.
Margherita is my italian model and nice roomate! She is an interior designer, and we had a lot to help each other and exchanging experinces in different areas. I love working with people who totally believe in my work, and trusting me. Then the project is easy going and totally projecting what I had in my mind. Here below are some pictures of beautiful beautiful Margherita for my project :)
Actually I want to scream about that, but I will gently write about it.. In December 23th I became a mother of a beautiful little baby-girl!!!
My happiness is unlimited! Such a wonderful gift the life has presented to me...
I was shooting a lot, just for fun, because I liked it. In the first time when you start, you can't afford everything like light, technical stuff etc. But there is a passion, and it's enough for you. Then it can take you forward and sometimes from good hobby it grows into your source of earnings. When you do it for fun, it's different either you are doing it to earn. You have responsibilities, it's not a game any more. It's your work, and as soon as you inspired by what you do, you keep doing it well and growing with it. It's challenging and it pushes you, makes you do something more, something different, something great.
Love it.
May be you know that I'm from Almaty, the ex-capital of Kazakhstan, but now i live in Astana, current capital of Kazakhstan. If you search on google you will find that Astana became a capital in 1998, and it was really small. During last 15 years the city grew up sooo much. You will never believe that it had totally different look even 5-10 years ago! Also the population of the new capital grew up to 800 000 people (before it was small city, where people more or less knew each other), so I would say it's really crazy and the unbelievable dreams can come true. Now the prices for apartment, food etc. is one of the highest in the country. There are so many new buildings with interesting unique architectures, designs, and some of those are the biggest in the world. I don't know do I like it or no, but I know that it's incredible to build a city like that in short period and also keeping it developing and making from it a center of the main distance for young people. Young city with young people, next generation. Sounds great!
So once I went out to take a picture of one building, only one. You know why, the point is they started building new sport centers among old small houses. And that looks amazing to me. It's not bad or sad or something, it's just interesting to me to capture that place. I took some shots of another sport center too, only because it's next to that one i came for.
The region of Astana is a steepe, so mostly you can't find too much greens, but now the city is changing, so there are a lot of small trees which in some years will be surrounding the city. That's nice!
This one called Saryarka Velodrom is an indoor cycle-racing track or velodrome, with 58,000 metre square surface area containing sports courts, a fitness centre, swimming pool, basketball court, ice rink, as well as conference halls, a restaurant and a hotel. I got some few shots from another side:
And this one below is called "Астана Арена" is the biggest football stadium in the country, was build in 2009 and holds 30 000 seats! But my focus is surroundings of the stadium:
the same shot, just couldn't choose:
I had this project in Florence at Classic Photography class. I did like Classic Photography a lot, even I was dreaming about getting film medium format camera and shooting only on film. Actually I still want to do it, and definitely I will in the future. But by now there are always a lot of factors making me be more practical and fast, and I can reach it only by using digital camera.
Anyway, I found my old pictures I shoot on Zenit (the old film camera of my father). Here are portraits of people on the streets of Florence.
